Laguna Beach, CA — Travis Owens, a long time advocate, entrepreneur, and community strategist, has officially declared his candidacy for President of the United States in the 2028 election. Running under the Green Party, Owens brings forward a bold, grassroots platform centered on justice, sustainability, and a new era of people-powered leadership.
Registered out of Laguna Beach, Owens enters the race as a voice for millions of working-class Americans too often left out of the political conversation. His candidacy is built around a Green Budget Reform Framework—a ten-point legislative blueprint designed to realign national priorities with community needs, environmental responsibility, and human dignity.
“This isn’t politics as usual. This is about shifting power back to the people and building a future that works for all of us,” Owens stated. “From economic justice to climate reform, from healthcare to housing—this campaign is grounded in reality and driven by compassion.”

The Cannabis Justice & Public Revenue Act, which legalizes cannabis federally, reallocates revenue into communities, and ends decades of criminal injustice.
The Shelter & Soul Recovery Act, addressing homelessness as a mental health and services issue—not a criminal one.
